We are HOME!

Hi everyone!

We are home and excited to announce that we are the parents of a 5 month old baby girl in Ethiopia named.......Hadi. This is a form of her original name given to her by her birth parents. We have not passed court yet but we have passed our part of the court process. We don't know when we will go back for our Embassy date but hopefully it will be in the next few months.

Our boys did great while we were gone. They were well taken care of by their grandparents. We are recovering from our trip. It is a LONG trek but well worth it. We have a busy summer ahead of us and baby girl's room to decorate. Hopefully it will go by fast!

Blessings,
Scott and Jill

Pilgrimage to Heaven fundraiser will continue if you still wanted to give and didn't get a chance yet. We can take over more donations during the next trip. In the next few days we will post the pictures of our trip and ALL the donations the kids were blessed with. Thank you for your generosity and especially your prayers!

Yummy...Ice Cream

The name of our blog is titled Chocolate Chip ice cream....like it says at the top..."Our family is a whole lot of vanilla made complete with chocolate chips" God actually led Scott and I to this picture of ice cream last year at a couples retreat we were on. First, I thought, we both were drawn to that picture because we eat ice cream EVERY NIGHT!! It is amazing how God used a seemingly trivial picture to really speak to us about our family. Vanilla ice cream is SO much better with chocolate chips! We are grateful God has orchestrated the plan for our family to adopted. Going through the adoption process has truly reminded us of His plan for us. He knew Chocolate Chip Ice Cream would be our favorite flavor.

Sooo...that brings me to today. First of all, the gal who designed this blog did a great job. The proceeds go to missions, so if you ever need a blog designed, check out her icon at the bottom of the page.

Currently we are sitting in the USO Rome. I know, we are roughing it big time. We even got a scooter to drive around town. Pretty crazy around here to drive! Tonight we will board the plane for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We will be tired but very excited to be that much closer to Baby girl. We will keep you all updated everyday...hopefully.

Thank you again for your prayers. We have felt them all around us. This is a long trip with lots of flights and a few home sick hearts for our 3 boys at home but definitely worth the beautiful face we will meet in Ethiopia. Thank you to our good friends and Scott's parents for stepping up to the challenge of watching our boys.

We love you all...
